delivery & Returns

Effective Date: 5 April 2026
Last Reviewed: 1 May 2026

At Safeguard Technologies, we aim to make delivery, setup and ongoing support as simple and reassuring as possible.

Our service is designed to provide not only the equipment itself, but also the confidence that it has been installed correctly and explained clearly to the user and, where appropriate, their family or carers.

Delivery & Setup

All devices supplied by Safeguard Technologies are personally delivered and professionally set up by a member of our team.

As part of the setup appointment, we may:

  • deliver and install the equipment

  • configure the device and connectivity

  • test device functionality

  • carry out a test alert or ARC connection where applicable

  • explain how the equipment works

  • answer questions from the user, family members or carers

  • ensure the customer feels confident using the device before installation is completed

We currently provide delivery and setup services across the Isle of Wight.

Delivery and installation timescales may vary depending on:

  • product availability

  • scheduling

  • connectivity requirements

  • customer location

  • urgency of need

Where possible, we aim to arrange installations promptly following confirmation of an order.

Support Following Installation

Following installation, customers can contact Safeguard Technologies for assistance with:

  • device support

  • setup queries

  • basic troubleshooting

  • replacement requests

  • subscription queries

  • returns or collections

Where devices are connected to a third-party Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), emergency alerts will continue to be handled through the ARC in accordance with the service arrangement.

Faulty Devices

If a device develops a fault or stops functioning correctly, please contact us as soon as possible.

Depending on the nature of the issue, we may:

  • provide troubleshooting assistance

  • arrange a repair

  • replace the device

  • arrange collection and inspection

We aim to resolve genuine faults as quickly as reasonably possible.

Faults resulting from:

  • accidental damage

  • misuse

  • unauthorised modification

  • loss or theft

may not be covered by warranty or replacement arrangements.

Returns & Collections

If you need to return a device, please contact us first so we can arrange an appropriate collection or return process.

Devices should not be returned without prior arrangement.

Returns may be accepted where:

  • cancellation rights apply

  • the device is faulty

  • the service has ended

  • a replacement has been agreed

  • collection has been authorised by Safeguard Technologies

Returned equipment should, where reasonably possible:

  • include all supplied accessories

  • be returned in reasonable condition

  • not be intentionally damaged or modified

As many of our services involve rented or managed equipment, devices usually remain the property of Safeguard Technologies Ltd unless otherwise stated.

Cooling-Off & Cancellation Rights

Where applicable under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers purchasing remotely may have the right to cancel within 14 days of installation or receipt.

Further details regarding cancellations, subscription terms and equipment responsibilities are available in our Terms of Service:

Hygiene & Device Handling

Returned devices may be inspected, cleaned, sanitised and tested before reuse or replacement.

For the safety of customers and staff, we ask that equipment is returned in a reasonably clean condition where possible.

Vulnerable Customers

We understand that some of our customers may be elderly, vulnerable, or supported by carers or family members.

Where appropriate and authorised, we are happy to communicate with nominated family members, carers or support professionals regarding delivery arrangements, setup and collections.

Delivery Limitations

While we aim to provide reliable delivery and setup services, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • severe weather

  • ferry disruption

  • supplier delays

  • mobile network issues

  • technical or operational issues

We will always aim to communicate any significant delays as clearly as possible.
